The All England Club announced its men's singles wild cards for the 2026 Wimbledon Championships on June 17. Grigor Dimitrov and Stan Wawrinka head the list, while Nick Kyrgios, Gael Monfils, and Dan Evans were overlooked for singles spots.
The eight recipients include British players Jacob Fearnley, Arthur Fery, Jack Pinnington Jones, Toby Samuel, Felix Gill, and Harry Wendelken. Dimitrov, ranked 169th after injury issues, returns for another chance at the tournament where he retired mid-match last year. Wawrinka, 41, receives an invitation for what will be his final season.
Evans secured a doubles wild card alongside Henry Searle but will miss singles action in his last Wimbledon. Kyrgios, a 2022 finalist, and Monfils were among the high-profile names left out after limited recent play.
Gill, ranked outside the top 400, and Wendelken drew attention for their selections aimed at developing British talent. The tournament begins June 29 with Jannik Sinner defending his title. Video reviews will debut on select courts.
