Wisconsin babysitter sentenced for leaving children in car

A 24-year-old Wisconsin woman received probation after pleading no contest to child neglect charges for leaving three toddlers alone in a parked vehicle for nearly 90 minutes.

Hannah Sprang was sentenced Monday in Manitowoc County Circuit Court to probation after pleading no contest to three counts of child neglect. Two counts were reduced from felonies to misdemeanors under a plea deal, while prosecution on a third felony count was deferred for three years. She faces a permanent ban on offering babysitting or day care services, and the felony will be dismissed if she complies with all conditions, court records show.
