Wisconsin parents charged with neglect after baby's death

A Milwaukee couple has been charged with chronic neglect of a child following the death of their one-year-old baby in February. Authorities allege the parents left the infant and a six-year-old sibling unsupervised multiple times and that the mother may have given the baby alcohol.

Kevin McCall, 30, and Christina Davis, 23, were arrested on Feb. 23 and remain in custody at the Milwaukee County Jail on $10,000 bond. They are scheduled to return to court on May 29. Police responded to their apartment complex on the afternoon of Feb. 22 after receiving a report of a pulseless, nonbreathing child. The baby was pronounced dead at a hospital, where rigor mortis had already begun to set in.
