Cleveland Monsters besiegen Marlies mit 4:0 in Spiel 3

Die Cleveland Monsters besiegten die Toronto Marlies am Mittwochabend mit 4:0 und gingen damit in den North Division Finals mit 2:1 in Führung. Dank der starken Defensivleistung der Monsters kam Toronto auf lediglich 16 Torschüsse. Der Sieg wurde auswärts im Coca-Cola Coliseum errungen.

Owen Sillinger und Hudson Fasching trafen im ersten Drittel und brachten die Monsters mit 2:0 in Führung. Zach Sawchenko parierte alle 16 Schüsse und feierte damit seinen ersten Shutout seit November 2024 gegen denselben Gegner. Insgesamt übertraf Cleveland Toronto bei den Torschüssen mit 30 zu 16 und hielt die Marlies im dritten Spiel der Serie in Folge bei unter 20 Torschüssen.
