The Cleveland Monsters defeated the Toronto Marlies 4-0 on Wednesday night to take a 2-1 lead in the North Division finals. Cleveland's defensive effort limited Toronto to just 16 shots. The win came on the road at Coca-Cola Coliseum.
Owen Sillinger and Hudson Fasching scored in the first period to give the Monsters a 2-0 lead. Zach Sawchenko made 16 saves for the shutout, his first since November 2024 against the same opponent. Cleveland outshot Toronto 30-16 overall and held the Marlies under 20 shots for the third consecutive game in the series.
