Father of boy found dead in Kyoto Prefecture arrested on body abandonment charge

Police in Kyoto Prefecture have arrested the father of 11-year-old elementary school student Yuki Adachi on suspicion of abandoning his son's body. The father admitted during questioning, 'There's no doubt that I did it.' Adachi had been missing since March 23.

The body of Yuki Adachi, an 11-year-old elementary school student missing since March 23, was found on Monday in the mountains of Nantan, Kyoto Prefecture. The cause of death remains unknown, and police raided the family home the following day.

On Wednesday, Adachi's father was arrested on suspicion of abandoning the body. During questioning, he reportedly told investigators, "There's no doubt that I did it," admitting his involvement, according to The Japan Times.

Adachi had been missing for nearly three weeks before his body was discovered. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the case.
