Die in Los Angeles lebende Musikerin Jillian Medford, die unter dem Namen Ian Sweet auftritt, hat ihr neues Album Shiverstruck angekündigt, das am 24. Juli über Polyvinyl erscheint. Sie schrieb die Platte während ihrer Zeit als Musiklehrerin für Kinder und nahm sie mit dem Produzenten Ben H. Allen auf. Die erste Single „Criminal Kissing“ begleitet die Ankündigung.

Medford beschrieb „Criminal Kissing“ in einer Pressemitteilung als „einen Liebesbrief an das Treffen schlechter Entscheidungen.
