Ian Sweet annonce son nouvel album Shiverstruck et une tournée

La musicienne basée à Los Angeles, Jillian Medford, qui se produit sous le nom d'Ian Sweet, a dévoilé son nouvel album Shiverstruck, dont la sortie est prévue pour le 24 juillet via Polyvinyl. Elle a écrit cet opus tout en travaillant comme professeure de musique pour enfants et l'a enregistré avec le producteur Ben H. Allen. Le premier single, « Criminal Kissing », accompagne cette annonce.

Dans un communiqué de presse, Medford a décrit « Criminal Kissing » comme « une lettre d'amour aux mauvaises décisions. Comme le fait de renouer avec son ex tout en sachant que l'on finira émotionnellement dévasté à essayer de recoller les morceaux par la suite. Parfois, il faut simplement se laisser porter par le chaos et voir où cela nous mène. » L'album succède à Sucker, paru en 2023, et comprend des titres tels que « 98702 », « Silver Screen », « Jilian », « Deadweight » et la chanson éponyme « Shiverstruck ». La liste complète des morceaux compte 10 chansons, se terminant par « Speed Demon ».
