Investigation resumed into suspected poisonings at Akademiska Hospital

The preliminary investigation into suspected poisonings at Akademiska Hospital in Uppsala has been resumed after new circumstances emerged.

In April, prosecutor Emma Häggström dropped the investigation due to lack of evidence. She stated at the time that it was not possible to prove that the suspected woman had committed the crime. The case has now been resumed. P4 Uppland was first to report the decision. According to information from TV4, nurses are suspected of having been poisoned with salbutamol in liquid form, an asthma medication sold as Ventoline. – It is of course interesting since we have followed this closely, says Viktor Ekström, security chief at Akademiska Hospital. The suspected woman has denied the crime.
