Jon Rahm hat sich bei einem Volunteer der PGA Championship entschuldigt, nachdem er in einem Moment der Frustration während der ersten Runde im Aronimink Golf Club ein Divot in Gesicht und Schulter des Mannes geschlagen hatte.

Rahm spielte in der ersten Runde am Donnerstag eine 69er-Runde (eins unter Par). Am siebten Loch, einem Par-4, schlug er seinen zweiten Schlag aus dem linken Rough über das Grün. Aus Wut schlug er anschließend nach dem Gras, wodurch ein Divot wegflog und den Volunteer traf.
