JR Tokai to run Disney Shinkansen starting Friday

JR Tokai will launch the Disney-themed Sparkling Dreams Shinkansen starting Friday. It will operate up to two round trips a day on Hikari and Kodama services between Tokyo Station and Shin-Osaka Station until mid-March 2027.

The train features designs linked to Tokyo DisneySea.

According to JR Tokai, operations will begin Friday and focus mainly on Hikari and Kodama services.

The service is scheduled to continue until mid-March 2027.
