Municipalities in Dalarna offer free summer vacation activities for children. In Ludvika there is great interest in activities including fishing school and cultural events.

All 15 municipalities in Dalarna now offer free activities for children during the summer. Ludvika municipality reports high demand for both sports and cultural activities.

Hanna Tibling, head of culture and youth in Ludvika municipality, says many of the activities are well attended.

The organization BRIS stresses the importance of activities truly being free of charge. Maja Dahl at BRIS warns of hidden costs such as travel or equipment that can prevent participation.
