After a successful inspection, the Hovnäs ferry is soon ready to resume carrying passengers across the Dalälven. The ferry connects Dalarna and Västmanland, operating from spring to autumn.

Sweden's chancellor of justice (JK) has dropped the preliminary investigation into suspected agitation against an ethnic group targeting Vera Oredsson, responsible publisher for the Nordfront website. The reason is that the reported material has been removed or edited from the site. Oredsson, 98, living in Ludvika, can no longer be held accountable.

Only one of 44 motions has been approved in Region Dalarna's council since the election. The motion, by Ulf Berg (M), proposes patients evaluating care via SMS. SVT Nyheter Dalarna has reviewed all motions handled during the mandate period.

Dalarna's sports gala took place for the second year on Wednesday evening at Magasinet in Falun, awarding prizes in eleven categories for 2025 achievements. Performances by Jesper Lindell and Linda Bengtzing lifted spirits, despite the shadow of Leksands IF's relegation from SHL.

Two teenagers are being prosecuted at Falu District Court on suspicion of sabotage after removing sirens known as Hesa Fredrik from the roof of Hushagsgymnasiet in Borlänge during spring 2025. The sirens were then mounted on a car, preventing their use. The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency demands 30,000 kronor in damages from the youths and an additional over 24,000 kronor from their parents.

Nearly 300 participants from police, county administrations, and the Armed Forces gathered over two days to handle fictitious threats. The exercise aimed to test collaboration and decision-making.
