Smedjebacken reaches new heights with library loans

Residents in Smedjebacken are borrowing books at a high rate. The libraries in Smedjebacken and Söderbärke rank ninth in the country according to statistics from the Royal Library.

Smedjebacken has become a municipality where library loans are rising sharply. It is the books that are driving the numbers up rather than bank loans.

No cuts have been made to library operations. The library director points to this as a key explanation for the high borrowing activity.

The statistics come from the Royal Library and show that Smedjebacken residents are borrowing books frequently.
