A 54-year-old man was arrested in the act in Brazil's Federal District after attempting to rape his 15-year-old stepdaughter, who stabbed him in self-defense. The incident took place on Sunday afternoon in Ceilândia. The victim's mother reported prior assaults by the suspect.
On the afternoon of Sunday, December 7, around 5 p.m., military police from the 8th Battalion (RP 28) were called via the Police Operations Center (COPOM) to an incident at QNP 14 in Ceilândia, Federal District. Upon arrival, they found the 54-year-old man stabbed on a bed.
The 15-year-old stepdaughter told police that her stepfather was masturbating in front of her and then tried to grab her. In an act of self-defense, the teenager seized a knife and wounded him. The girl's mother, present at the scene, said she had been assaulted by her partner days earlier, showing visible injuries.
A check of the suspect's criminal record showed prior offenses under the Maria da Penha Law, including against the same partner, who had previously revoked a protective order. Due to his injuries, the man was taken to Ceilândia Regional Hospital (HRC), where he remains under escort by the Federal District Civil Police (PCDF) for the qualified rape arrest.
The involved parties were taken to the Special Women's Assistance Police Station II (DEAM II) for procedures. The suspect will face charges of qualified rape and domestic violence.
