Merci Instruments has released the Beaumarchais collection, six new watches marking the brand's 10th anniversary. Priced at €470 each, the models feature angular cases and diverse dials. Founder Arthur Gerbi introduced the line at the Merci concept store in Paris.
Arthur Gerbi, founder of the Merci concept store at 111 Boulevard Beaumarchais in Paris, launched the Merci Instruments Beaumarchais collection to celebrate a decade since the brand's first watch. The six models share a 36mm stainless steel case with angular, faceted finishes, brushed and polished surfaces, an octagonal bezel, and a flat sapphire crystal. The case measures 10mm thick with a 45mm lug-to-lug distance, giving it a sporty appearance despite dress-watch-like proportions. Each watch is powered by the automatic Miyota 9039 movement, offering 28,800 vibrations per hour, 24 jewels, and a 42-hour power reserve—a shift from previous hand-wound models. The dials vary significantly: Æon Blue with a matte navy base, light blue octagonal center, and luminous Arabic numerals; Cosmora in matte green with a round textured center and applied indexes; Singularis in black with star-shaped indexes; Horae featuring a vertically brushed base, matte white center, diamond indexes, and blued seconds hand; Auguste with circular brushing, black lacquered Roman numerals, and brushed hands; and Æther in dark blue with star indexes and the brand logo at 12 o'clock. Reviewers have praised the collection's distinct characters and value, though some noted similarities to a previous collaboration with Hodinkee from two years ago, sharing the same case and movement. The watches are available at the Merci store.
