The Minnesota Wild have recalled defenseman Carson Lambos from the AHL's Iowa Wild and placed Jonas Brodin on injured reserve. Lambos, a 22-year-old first-round pick, will join the NHL club for the first time. He has yet to make his NHL debut.

In a roster adjustment announced by Minnesota Wild President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Bill Guerin, the team recalled 22-year-old defenseman Carson Lambos from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League. To accommodate the move, the Wild placed veteran defenseman Jonas Brodin on injured reserve.

Lambos, born January 14, 2003, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs 191 pounds. This season with Iowa, he has recorded five points (two goals and three assists), 40 shots, and 22 penalty minutes in 26 games. Over his three AHL seasons with Iowa from 2023 to 2026, Lambos has appeared in 163 games, tallying 38 points (11 goals and 27 assists), 129 penalty minutes, and 215 shots.

Prior to turning professional, Lambos played five seasons (2018-2023) with the Kootenay and Winnipeg Ice in the Western Hockey League, suiting up for 176 games and posting 128 points (31 goals and 97 assists). During the 2022-23 season, he served as captain for Winnipeg, where he ranked second among team defensemen with 48 points (12 goals and 36 assists) in 61 games.

Internationally, Lambos represented Canada White at the 2017 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, earning tournament all-star honors with five assists in six games. He also played in one game for Canada at the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Selected by the Wild in the first round, 26th overall, in the 2021 NHL Draft, Lambos has not yet appeared in an NHL game. He will wear number 71 with Minnesota. The Wild face the Columbus Blue Jackets on the road tomorrow at 6 p.m. CT, broadcast on FanDuel Sports Network North and KFAN FM 100.3.
