New Jersey man sentenced to 25 years for beating infant daughter to death

A Lakewood Township father pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter and received a 25-year prison sentence after fatally beating his three-month-old daughter.

Ruben Santiago, 37, admitted to the crime in Ocean County court. He was sentenced on Friday following his guilty plea to aggravated manslaughter in the death of his infant daughter. Prosecutors said the girl suffered a fractured skull and brain bleeding from the attack.
