Tadej Pogacar won the third stage of the 2026 Tour de France and took the race lead from Jonas Vingegaard.
The stage held on July 6 between Granollers and Les Angles, 195 kilometers long, ended with Tadej Pogacar victorious in 4 hours 45 minutes 11 seconds. Jonas Vingegaard finished two seconds behind and Richard Carapaz took third place.
Pogacar passed Vingegaard in the final sprint on the climb to Les Angles, a slope of less than two kilometers at 6.7 percent. The UAE Team Emirates squad controlled the race and del Toro launched the decisive attack.
With this victory Pogacar reaches his 22nd Tour stage win and moves into the overall lead. Vingegaard loses the yellow jersey for the first time in the six Tours they have contested together.
