Polisregion Mitt welcomes 49 new police aspirants

Today 49 aspiring police officers begin their aspirant service in Polisregion Mitt. They will serve in the areas of Gävleborg, Västmanland and Uppsala for six months.

The new aspirants receive support from experienced supervisors during their service. The goal is to put theoretical knowledge into practical police work. Region Police Chief Ulf Johansson welcomed the group and stressed their role in creating a safer society. He said the 49 new employees strengthen presence in local communities. After approved aspirant service they are offered employment as police assistants in their respective police areas.
