PP promises to expel migrants with sexual offenses

Alberto Núñez Feijóo, PP leader, announced measures to toughen penalties against sexual aggressors, including expulsion for convicted foreigners. The proposal was presented on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Feijóo criticized the current government for the rise in sexual offenses.

Alberto Núñez Feijóo, president of the Partido Popular (PP), outlined several penal measures he would implement if he gains power during an event on November 25, 2025, marking the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. His speech focused on immigration, security, and combating gender-based violence, promising to increase prison sentences for Spanish sexual aggressors and, for foreigners, add expulsion from the country.

«If the offender is Spanish, prison sentences will be increased, and if foreign, in addition to this, they will be expelled from Spain», Feijóo stated. He acknowledged progress in the area but stressed that «violence changes faces, but remains in society» and that more always needs to be done.

He sharply criticized Pedro Sánchez's government, citing data: sexual penetrations have risen 231% since 2018, and crimes against sexual freedom 61%. He accused this administration of making «Spain a less safe country for women». He proposed repealing the 'only yes means yes' Law and replacing it with one that effectively protects women.

On migration, the PP is finalizing a plan that includes a 'points-based visa' to prioritize immigrants from countries that help curb irregular flows, Spanish speakers, or those for labor-short sectors like agriculture and construction. Feijóo emphasized that illegal immigration is a challenge that must be addressed to prevent xenophobia, balancing rights and duties: «neither regularize them all nor throw them all into the sea». Additionally, he would link social aids to employment, reserving non-contributory benefits like the Minimum Vital Income for long-term residents.
