Raven Prism debuts as Linux glasses for ambient computing

A San Francisco startup has unveiled the Raven Prism, a standalone Linux computer built into prescription eyewear. The device emphasizes privacy and hands-free operation through eye tracking and on-device processing.

Raven Resonance, founded by Thomas Suarez, introduced the Raven Prism at the Augmented World Expo 2026. The event runs from June 16 to 18 at Booth 1028 in Long Beach, California.

The glasses function as a full Linux computer running the company's RavenOS. They feature a quad-core ARM processor, up to 4 GB of RAM, and weigh under 70 grams. A full-color LCoS display on the right lens provides a 30-degree field of view.

Privacy measures include a removable physical camera cover, indicator lights, and all processing kept on the device. No data leaves without user consent, and telemetry collection is off by default.

A commercial launch is planned for later in 2026 at a tentative price of $1,499. The device supports SSH, can be rooted, and runs native ARM64 Linux applications.
