Rosalía shines on ‘La revuelta’ with David Broncano

Singer Rosalía Vila Tobella, born in San Esteban Sasroviras in September 1992, appeared on ‘La revuelta’ on Monday night and had a blast with host David Broncano. She fully engaged with the show, distributing homemade cake and taking part in fun challenges. Her presence was a balm of lightness and sympathy.

Rosalía arrived at the show with an empty suitcase, ‘pure prop’, and a stream of expressions like ‘ole’, ‘toma’, and ‘dale’, accompanied by adolescent laughs. In front of Broncano, she showed her naive and sympathetic side, acting surprised by each of the host’s comments. Broncano introduced her speaking in Italian, and she distributed among the audience a ‘fourteen-karat’ cake made with her own hands. ‘Rosi, the rural cake by hand!’, he shouted, while she laughed with the excitement of a first visit to an amusement park.

The program featured an SNL-style sketch with celebrities like Carmen Machi, Alexia Putellas, Javier Calvo, Estopa, Pedro Almodóvar, Manuela Carmena, La Zowi, and Joan Pradells. In the intermission, a cheeky homage to the Super Bowl featured a singer performing Chayanne’s ‘Torero’ with dancers.

Rosalía touched her arms repeatedly, perhaps from the cold or to thank the affection. She said phrases like ‘making gifts is my great illusion’ and recounted an erotic dream in a playful voice. When the audience, after the cake, shouted for tickets, she exclaimed: ‘This is getting out of hand!’, always smiling and giving thanks. She won an arm-wrestle against Broncano with a little cheat, talked about religion mentioning God several times, promised to go down the slide on her next visit with appropriate clothes, and mentioned her grandmother, parents, and sister. She shared anecdotes from her singing lessons and moments of introspection, and showed clips from the ‘Berghain’ video.

Suddenly, she sang a capella a piece of ‘La perla’ that left everyone speechless. Before leaving, she said: ‘I enjoyed it so much’ and added: ‘A little kiss for Jimmy’, referring to Jimmy Fallon, with whom she has an upcoming interview. Rosalía, an intense diva in music and light in life, soothed the tension with her charm.
