So Ji-sub says Agent Kim Reactivated opens new career chapter

Actor So Ji-sub discussed the global success of the Netflix series Agent Kim Reactivated in a recent interview. The SBS drama achieved a 20 percent viewership rating in Korea and topped Netflix's global non-English chart for three weeks.

So Ji-sub told The Korea Times at a Seoul cafe on Thursday that the 20 percent rating still feels unreal. "The other actors and the director kept asking each other, 'Is this even real?'" he said.

The series follows a bank manager who revives his violent past to rescue his kidnapped daughter. So joined after his 2025 role in Mercy for None, drawn by the character's grief and his first portrayal of a father to a high-school-aged child.

He highlighted the knife fight in episode five as his favorite scene. So compared the project to his 2004 drama I'm Sorry, I Love You, calling it the start of the second chapter of his career.
