Die in Chicago geborene und mittlerweile in New York lebende Singer-Songwriterin veröffentlichte zur Ankündigung die Titel „Spring“ und „Clarion“. „Spring“ enthält Beiträge von L’Rain und Jamila Woods und ist inspiriert von dem Gedicht „To the Young Who Want To Die“ der Lyrikerin Gwendolyn Brooks. Tasha nahm das Album in Los Angeles gemeinsam mit dem Produzenten Gregory Uhlmann von der Band SML auf.
