Tesla FSD shows fewer crashes than humans in Netherlands

Tesla has shared new data indicating its Full Self-Driving Supervised software recorded fewer collisions than human drivers on Dutch roads. The figures cover the period from April 10 to June 5, 2026.

Vehicles using the software had 3.5 times fewer collisions overall compared with manual driving. On highways, FSD vehicles covered 16.6 million kilometres with no recorded collisions, while manual driving recorded 33 collisions across 158.7 million kilometres. On non-highway roads, FSD was 1.6 times safer, with three collisions over 7 million kilometres versus 109 collisions over 152.9 million kilometres for manual driving. The software also reduced automatic emergency braking events by a factor of 14.9 and cut harsh acceleration by 8.8 times. The data was posted by the official Tesla Europe account on X. Tesla said European owners are still awaiting wider rollout and full regulatory approvals across the continent.
