Tommaso Ciampa debuted for All Elite Wrestling in late January after allowing his WWE contract to expire. In his debut match, he won the TNT Championship but held it for 11 days before losing it to Kyle Fletcher. Speaking at a virtual signing for K & S WrestleFest, Ciampa discussed his intentions to keep his presentation fresh in AEW. He stated, 'So far, I like it a lot. I love the start. There’s a lot of fun things I have in the works and ways to evolve the character and just gotta be patient (and) let that all play out but, we’re on to some good stuff. There’s some really cool plans in the works.' Ciampa added optimism about his future with the promotion, saying, 'I’m hoping that I get to ride into the sunset with AEW to be honest with you. I really like it there. They treat my family extremely well, and my little one is having a blast…' These comments highlight Ciampa's enthusiasm amid his transition from WWE to AEW. He is scheduled for a singles match against Lio Rush on the March 22 AEW Collision: Slam Dunk Sunday. Quotes from the event are credited to K & S WrestleFest, with transcriptions by Fightful.
