Bei einem großangelegten Einsatz in Luton hat die Polizei fast 6.500 gefälschte Schallplatten sichergestellt. Die Beute im Wert von über 250.000 Pfund gilt als eine der größten Beschlagnahmungen dieser Art im Vereinigten Königreich.

Die für den Schutz geistigen Eigentums zuständige Einheit der City of London Police führte die Razzia am 22. April in einem nicht genannten Gebäude in der Stadt in Bedfordshire durch. Die Beamten beschlagnahmten 6.498 Tonträger, deren Verkaufswert auf 259.520 Pfund geschätzt wird. Bei dem Einsatz arbeiteten sie mit der Content Protection Unit der British Phonographic Industry zusammen.
