Atletico Madrid have completed the signing of Denmark midfielder Morten Hjulmand from Sporting CP on a contract until 2031.
The 27-year-old becomes the club's second summer signing after left-back Alejandro Grimaldo joined from Bayer Leverkusen last month.
Hjulmand made 142 appearances and scored 10 goals during three seasons with Sporting. He contributed to two Primeira Liga titles and a domestic cup double in 2024-25.
Atletico will begin their 2026-27 LaLiga campaign on August 16 against newly promoted Malaga at the Metropolitano.
