Daniel Garcia has issued a stark warning to Swerve Strickland ahead of their scheduled singles match on the June 24 episode of AEW Dynamite. The confrontation stems from recent events involving the Death Riders and Strickland's pursuit of an AEW World Title shot at All In London.
In an AEW Digital Exclusive interview, Garcia referenced their 2024 matchup and accused Strickland of changing after winning the World Title. Garcia stated that Strickland had become "drunk off power" and "a disgusting, despicable human being," while noting he shared similar traits.
Garcia added that he would not be a minor obstacle, saying, "If you think this is just gonna be a pebble on your road to Wembley Stadium, you’re wrong. I’m a shard of glass on the road, and you’re gonna Swerve right off the road to Wembley."
Marina Shafir also commented during the segment. AEW confirmed the Garcia versus Strickland match for the upcoming Dynamite episode. Garcia does not have a match scheduled at AEW Forbidden Door 2026, though his mentor Jon Moxley is set to defend the AEW Continental Championship there against Bandido.
