Indonesian hajj officials prepare protection and 6000 buses in Madinah

Indonesia's first batch of hajj pilgrims is scheduled to arrive in Madinah on April 22, 2026. Hajj Organizers (PPIH) have deployed 60 Linjam personnel for protection at hotels and trips to Masjid Nabawi. Some 6000 buses are also prepared to transport pilgrims.

Hajj Organizers (PPIH) for Saudi Arabia 2026 have made thorough preparations to welcome Indonesia's first batch of hajj pilgrims arriving in Madinah on April 22, 2026.

Kepala Seksi Perlindungan Jamaah (Linjam) Daerah Kerja Bandara, Ali Nurohim, said 60 members are deployed across all sectors in Madinah to protect pilgrims at hotels. "Agar jamaah haji selama dalam melaksanakan ibadah akan merasa tenang dan yakin bahwa para jamaah haji dilindungi oleh personel Linjam," Ali said at the Daker Bandara office on April 20, 2026. Linjam also handles material issues like lost luggage and secures trips from hotels to Masjid Nabawi.

Meanwhile, Kepala Seksi Transportasi Daerah Kerja Madinah, Achmad Muslichuddin Tamdjiz or Muslih, revealed cooperation with 15 transport companies to provide 6000 large Coach buses with 45-51 passenger capacity, limited to a maximum of 42 per group. For the first batch welcome, the team prepares arrival forms listing pilgrim numbers, embarkation origins, and bus counts.

These preparations ensure safety and smooth hajj worship for Indonesian pilgrims in the Holy Land.
