Guitarist Jay Jay French has said it is up to fans to accept Sebastian Bach as Twisted Sister's new singer on their upcoming reunion dates. Bach replaces Dee Snider, who stepped back due to health problems.
French made the comments during an appearance on Rock ‘N’ Blues Experience. He described Bach as the only person with the right pedigree, chops and stage presence for the role after eight hours of rehearsal.
The band had canceled its original 2026 tour plans in February after revealing Snider’s long-term degenerative arthritis. It later confirmed Bach, formerly of Skid Row, would perform on the 50th-anniversary shows.
French acknowledged some fans view Snider as irreplaceable. He compared the situation to other legacy acts such as Queen with Adam Lambert and Journey with Arnel Pineda, noting that audiences will ultimately decide.
Snider has publicly stated he is not on his deathbed and will continue his radio show and other work but will not tour in the near future.
