Senator Boni Khalwale has registered a new party, UPM, targeting politicians from major parties.
Kakamega Senator Dr Boni Khalwale confirmed in an interview with Taifa Leo that he has registered the UPM party.
Records at the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties show the party has met all registration requirements.
The party is expected to attract politicians from parties including ODM, DAP-K, UDA and FORD Kenya.
“UPM is a national party that will bring together prominent political leaders in the country who support the agenda of removing President Ruto from power,” Khalwale said.
Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya said the party will be launched in three weeks and will include other leaders such as Edwin Sifuna and Godfrey Osotsi.
