Lady Gaga and Doechii have released the single 'Runway' for the soundtrack of the upcoming 'The Devil Wears Prada 2.' The track, featuring an '80s-inspired electronic beat, first appeared in the film's latest trailer earlier this week. This marks the first collaboration between the two Grammy winners.
Lady Gaga delivers powerful vocals on the opening verse, singing, “I’m feeling free, I feel exceptionally me/ Hate all you want, but I’m dangerous/ You gon’ burn your tongue on this tea.” The duo unites on the chorus: “Monday through Sunday/ I can turn a dance floor into a runway/ Turn it up, turn around/ Bitch, Monday through Sunday.” The song blends Gaga's style with Doechii's rap melodies and was co-written by Gaga, Bruno Mars, Jaylah Hickmon, Andrew Watt, Henry Walter, Dernst “D’Mile” Emile II, and Jayda Love. Gaga is a 16-time Grammy winner, while Doechii has won two Grammys. Gaga and Doechii have praised each other previously. Last year, Doechii presented Gaga with the Innovator Award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, highlighting her impact on young queer fans. Gaga responded, calling Doechii's songwriting “immediately legendary.” 'The Devil Wears Prada 2,' a sequel to the 2006 film, reunites Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci. Directed by David Frankel and written by Aline Brosh McKenna, it arrives in cinemas on May 1 and follows Miranda Priestly navigating shifts in print journalism. Gaga is reportedly in the cast, though her role remains undisclosed. Gaga recently starred as Harley Quinn in 2024's 'Joker: Folie à Deux' and led 2018's 'A Star Is Born,' earning an Oscar for 'Shallow.' Doechii ended 2025 with 'Girl, Get Up' alongside SZA, following their 2022 track 'Persuasive.'
