Direktorat Lalu Lintas Polda Metro Jaya provides mobile SIM renewal services at five points in Jakarta from 08.00 to 14.00 WIB.
The service handles renewals for valid SIM A and SIM C licences. Locations include the front lobby of Mall Grand Cakung in East Jakarta, the main lobby of LTC Glodok Mall in North Jakarta, the parking area beside Universitas Trilogi in South Jakarta, the south lobby of Mall Ciputra in West Jakarta, and the parking area of Kantor Pos Lapangan Banteng in Central Jakarta. Applicants must bring a valid photocopy of their KTP, the original SIM and its photocopy, proof of health check, and proof of psychological test. Renewal fees are set at Rp80,000 for SIM A and Rp75,000 for SIM C, plus Rp50,000 for the health test and Rp100,000 for the psychological test. SIM validity is now calculated for five years from the issuance date. Drivers without a valid SIM risk up to one month imprisonment or a fine of up to Rp250,000 under Article 288 paragraph 2 of Law Number 22 of 2009.
