Dr Oburu Oginga appeared in Kisumu playing golf at the Nyanza Golf Club. He said he had been in Nairobi handling personal matters and returned to Kisumu on Thursday.

He stated that he had not disappeared, been arrested or tortured. He thanked Kenyans for their concern and explained that he had taken a short break while delegating duties to other party leaders.

He revealed that ODM will begin public rallies and consultations with youth, women and people living with disabilities. These activities will culminate in the party's National Delegates Conference, which will decide the party's direction for the 2027 elections.
