Bogotá's city hall implemented various mobility measures to manage vehicle flow during the Reyes holiday bridge, which started on Friday, January 9, 2026. According to the Mobility Secretariat, by Sunday, January 11, over 586,433 vehicles had left the capital, while 609,484 had entered via main access roads.
Cundinamarca Governor Jorge Emilio Rey assessed the Apulo-Mosquera corridor to decide on a continuous reversible lane, due to high traffic from fairs and festivals in Apulo, Tocaima, and Mesitas del Colegio. "If necessary, the measure could activate from 2:00 p.m. We invite travelers to schedule their return, take time for lunch, enjoy the Tequendama province municipalities, and return in a staggered and calm manner," the governor stated.
To organize entries on Monday, January 12, a holiday, regional pico y placa will apply on nine corridors: Autopista Norte, Suba-Cota road, Calle 80, Avenida Centenario (Calle 13), Autopista Sur, Avenida Boyacá, La Calera road, Choachí road, and Villavicencio road. From 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., only even-plated vehicles (0, 2, 4, 6, 8) may enter; from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., odd-plated (1, 3, 5, 7, 9). The Mobility Secretariat warned that violations carry fines and urged advance trip planning to avoid congestion.
Traffic police and signalization will support mobility, aiming to reduce wait times and improve flow on this high-demand day.
