One victim, initialed R, died from severe injuries, while the other, initialed D, suffered broken bones and is receiving hospital treatment.
Kepala Satuan Reserse Kriminal Polres Metro Jakarta Pusat, AKBP Roby Saputra, confirmed the incident. "True (one housekeeper died)," he told reporters on April 23, 2026. Preliminary information suggests the two felt uncomfortable and wanted to escape. "They reportedly weren't comfortable. Then she escaped with one witness. So both jumped from the fourth floor. One died, one has a broken hand," he said.
Police questioned the employer on the night of April 23, 2026. "Yes, true (the employer has been questioned)," AKBP Roby Saputra said on April 24, 2026. The examination took place at Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya, and the case may be fully taken over from the local police station. Witnesses described the employer as harsh, though the exact cause is still under investigation.
"Yes, harsh, that's the info from other witnesses. It could be verbal, could be actions. We don't know yet, as the examination isn't finished," he added.
