Robbie Williams has released a new version of the official FIFA anthem 'Desire' featuring Nicole Scherzinger and Laura Pausini. The updated track will be performed live by the three artists together for the first time at the World Cup closing ceremony.
The new version of the song adds vocal contributions from Scherzinger to the original recording by Williams and Pausini. Williams was named FIFA's Music Ambassador last summer and first performed the track with Pausini before a Chelsea versus Paris Saint-Germain match.
The closing ceremony takes place on Sunday at the New York New Jersey Stadium ahead of the final between Spain and Argentina. Other performers scheduled to appear include Post Malone, Tom Cruise and Jennifer Hudson, with an expected global television audience of two billion.
The final will also include the tournament's first halftime show, organised by Chris Martin and featuring Justin Bieber, Madonna, Shakira and BTS. The events support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise $100 million for children's education and football access worldwide.
