Shakira and Burna Boy performed their official anthem Dai Dai at the 2026 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Mexico City on June 11.
The ceremony took place at Estadio Azteca before the opening match between Mexico and South Africa. It featured performances by Maná, J Balvin, Danny Ocean, Los Ángeles Azules with Belinda, Lila Downs, Tyla and Alejandro Fernández.
Shakira delivered sharp dance moves in a bright yellow bodysuit while Burna Boy joined midway in a matching denim set. The pair performed atop a turquoise-and-yellow flag reading We are ready, closing the show with green, white and red fireworks.
Mexican actress Salma Hayek served as honorary host. FIFA President Gianni Infantino said the ceremonies bring together music, culture and football.
This marks Shakira's fourth World Cup contribution. She is set to co-headline the final halftime show on July 19 at MetLife Stadium with Madonna and BTS.
