SMHI has warned of large or very large risk of forest fires in southern Dalarna as well as around Falun and Borlänge during Thursday and Friday.
The warning covers the municipalities of Smedjebacken, Ludvika, Avesta, Säter, Hedemora, Falun, Borlänge and Djurås as well as parts of Västerdalarna. There is no fire ban in any of the affected municipalities.
SMHI reminds people to be very careful when lighting fires and when working with large machines outdoors. Fires in power lines can lead to disruptions in electricity and telecom networks.
There can be large differences in risk within the area depending on recent rain showers, according to SMHI.
