Health tech company Ultrahuman has partnered with group workout brand Les Mills to introduce the Les Mills PowerPlug for its Ring Air and Ring Pro smart rings. The integration recommends on-demand workouts based on users' sleep, recovery and cycle data. It aims to prevent overtraining by matching exercise intensity to health metrics.
Ultrahuman announced the partnership on Wednesday, creating the Les Mills PowerPlug within its app. The feature uses data from the smart rings, such as the Dynamic Recovery score—a percentage from zero to 100 calculated from sleep, temperature, stress rhythm, resting heart rate and heart rate variability—to suggest two to three daily workouts. Users first select ideal training days, session length and goals like cardio, strength, flexibility or general fitness, gaining access to Les Mills's full catalog of yoga, HIIT, stretching and more, sortable by goal or duration. It also adjusts for menstrual cycle phases, recommending intense workouts during high-energy periods like follicular or ovulatory, and recovery-focused ones like yoga during low-energy luteal or menstrual phases, while avoiding high-impact exercises during menstruation. Post-workout, users see stats including duration, heart rate zones, calories, movement score, muscle group charts and next-day recovery predictions. The PowerPlug costs $12 per month or $100 per year for global Ring Air and Ring Pro users. Mohit Kumar, Ultrahuman's CEO, stated in a press release: “With Les Mills, we're closing the loop -- your ring doesn't just tell you how recovered you are, it tells you what to do about it. The right workout, at the right intensity, every day. That's what training smarter actually looks like. Ultrahuman's Ring Pro, approved for US sale after a prior ban on the Ring Air due to a patent lawsuit with Oura, is available for preorder at $479 with charging case and ships May 15.
