Wake Medellín to open in June as Colombia's first Social Wellness hotel

Wake Medellín, Colombia's first Social Wellness Hub hotel, will open in June 2026 in Provenza, El Poblado, with a $250 billion investment. The project combines luxury hospitality, culture, gastronomy, and wellness in one space. It belongs to the Design Hotels collection and is the third Wake brand property in the country.

Medellín is gearing up for the June 2026 opening of Wake Medellín in Provenza, El Poblado neighborhood. Backed by a $250 billion investment, the hotel pioneers wellness tourism by blending luxury hospitality with design, fashion, and wellness experiences.

Key spaces include the Wake Park, a plaza featuring 25 restaurant, bar, and fashion brands; the Green House, linking nature and the city; and the Forum, for events holding 100 people with a 180-degree panoramic view. The Wholeness Floor provides infrared saunas, steam baths, flotation tanks, hydro-massages, a quiet room, and yoga studio.

The property offers 58 rooms across 10 types, 70 apartments in five categories—including two 350-square-meter penthouses—and “sleep rooms” with smart mattresses, advanced soundproofing, automated air conditioning, and circadian lighting. It features Boro restaurant by chef Jaime Rodríguez of Cartagena's Celele, plus sustainable features like advanced water filtration and 100% natural local personal care products.

“With Wake Medellín, we aim to contribute to the evolution of wellness tourism offerings in the city and region with a collective space designed to connect people through wellness, culture, and conscious living,” said David Luján, general director of DRIM and Stay Hospitality. Construction created 2,861 direct jobs and over 5,000 indirect ones, with 200 permanent positions projected.
