At noon the fire alarm sounded at Welfen-Gymnasium. There was no fire. Instead a 16-year-old is said to have stabbed schoolgirls.
Police arrested the 16-year-old Croatian. He had been a student at the school until recently and had previously received psychiatric treatment.
State Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann expressed shock at the incident that left two seriously injured.
