Alex Swetlikoff signs AHL deal with Coachella Valley Firebirds

Former Modo forward Alex Swetlikoff is returning to North America to play for the Coachella Valley Firebirds in the AHL. The 25-year-old Canadian signed for the 2026-27 season.

Alex Swetlikoff leaves Modo after one season in HockeyAllsvenskan. He recorded eight goals and 11 assists in 45 games during that campaign.

The player joins Coachella Valley Firebirds, the AHL affiliate of the Seattle Kraken. Swetlikoff previously played in the AHL and ECHL for teams including Henderson Silver Knights and Savannah Ghost Pirates.

AHL reporter Tony Androckitis first reported the signing. Swetlikoff, a Canadian forward, had been expected to move on after his time in Sweden.
