Seis hombres fueron acusados por el Ministerio Público de Río por crueldad animal, caza ilegal, asociación criminal y corrupción de menores. El Ibama impuso multas de 20 mil reales a cada uno de los ocho implicados, sumando un total de 160 mil reales, marcando la primera aplicación del decreto federal Justiça por Orelha.
