Actress Collien Fernandes is cutting short her filming in Asia to meet female politicians in Berlin this week, pushing for tougher regulations against digital violence. Following her recent TV interview and criminal complaint against ex-partner Christian Ulmen, she reiterates that Germany must not be a 'perpetrator's paradise'.
The 44-year-old presenter and actress Collien Fernandes announced on Instagram her plans to hold talks with politicians in Berlin this week. "On the way back to you in Germany, because now something has to change," she wrote, demanding stricter laws against digital violence.
Fernandes was filming the ZDF series "Traumschiff" in Asia but will briefly interrupt to return home, per T-Online reports.
This follows her high-profile ARD Tagesthemen appearance earlier this week, where she accused ex-partner actor Christian Ulmen of creating fake social media profiles in her name, impersonating her in sexual conversations, and sharing erotic images/videos—acts she called 'virtual rape'. She filed a criminal complaint against him in Mallorca, Spain, late last year; preliminary proceedings are underway, though Ulmen denies the allegations and is presumed innocent.
Broader momentum includes a planned demonstration against sexualised violence in Hamburg on Thursday (expected 7,500 participants, backed by activist Luisa Neubauer) and recent protests in Berlin. Over 250 prominent women, including Bärbel Bas, Nina Chuba, and Carolin Kebekus, have also called for laws targeting deepfakes and femicides.
