El joven ajedrecista argentino Faustino Oro consiguió el título de gran maestro en el Festival de Cerdeña. Con 12 años, 6 meses y 26 días, se ubica como el segundo más joven de la historia del ajedrez.

Faustino Oro logró la norma definitiva al vencer al maestro internacional polaco Bartolomiej Niedbala en la octava ronda del Festival Internacional de Cerdeña. Oro se ubica detrás del estadounidense Abhimanyu Mishra, quien alcanzó el título con 12 años y 4 meses. El logro marca un nuevo récord para el ajedrez argentino y confirma su posición entre los talentos más precoces del mundo.
