Four dead, several injured in morning crash on Bomet-Narok highway

Four people died and several others were injured in a fatal road crash in the Tegero area along the Bomet-Narok highway this morning. The accident involved a lorry and a saloon car. Police have launched an investigation.

The crash occurred this morning when a lorry travelling from Bomet towards Narok veered off its lane and collided head-on with an oncoming saloon car, Narok Police Commander Patrick Lobolia confirmed.

Images obtained by Kenyans.co.ke showed both vehicles extensively damaged, with broken windscreens, deflated tyres and pieces of glass scattered on the road. Four people died at the scene, while several occupants from both vehicles sustained injuries and were rushed to health facilities in the region. The bodies of the deceased were moved to the mortuary at Narok County Referral Hospital.

Police have launched investigations into the cause of the accident and urged motorists to exercise caution and adhere to traffic rules. This incident adds to recent crashes along the Narok-Bomet and Narok-Mai Mahiu highways, including one a week ago on April 26 that killed eight in the Nairegia area.
