Leksand Seeks Senior Defenseman for SHL Roster

Leksands IF has adjusted its roster plans ahead of the upcoming SHL season by targeting an additional senior defenseman.

Sportchef Jesper Ollas confirmed the club is looking to broaden its defense with a player suited for a defensive character role.

Ollas cited potential absences for national team duties involving Rocky Langvardt and Vilgot Lidén as a reason for adding depth. He noted that injuries could otherwise leave the group thin.

Three forward spots remain open, including two centers and one winger. Ollas said discussions are underway with candidates, including former captain Patrik Zackrisson for one of the center positions.

The team is scheduled to assemble on July 27 with an aim to finalize the roster by then, though Ollas indicated it could take slightly longer.
